This past Saturday, the Wesleyan Young Advocates & the Community Health Center hosted an Affordable Care Act (ACA) brunch featuring Kevin Counihan, CEO of AccessHealthCT, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, Mayor Dan Drew & State Representative Matt Lesser.

As the first year of the ACA comes to a close, the state of Connecticut and further the nation has a lot to be proud of. Connecticut has already exceeded its goal of people enrolled into the ACA and Obama reported yesterday that the nation has enrolled nearly 7,000,000 people into health coverage!!

The Wesleyan Young Advocates (WYA) are an organization at Wesleyan University, started this year by an AmeriCorps member and a Wesleyan student, that focuses to educate targeted populations on the Affordable Care Act and further assist them in getting covered moving forward.
