An Hour of Code
On Saturday, Mark Masselli and I sat down with students and staff from Wesleyan University to explore how we can work together to help people learn to program computers and cellphones to improve the health of our communities. It was an exciting and far reaching discussion.
What I did not know at the time was that it was a great precursor to this week. You see, today is Grace Hopper’s birthday, a pioneer in computer science, and a hero of mine growing up. It is the start of Computer Science Education Week.
