Dr. Bennet Davis Visits CHC!

On Thursday, March 24, 2016 Dr. Bennet Davis, the nation’s leading pain specialist, visited CHC and the Weitzman Institute for discussions surrounding the opioid epidemic, Project ECHO Pain and Project ECHO Buprenorphine. For those who don’t know, Project ECHO® (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) is a program that provides specialty support for primary care providers seeking to gain expertise in the management of certain complex illnesses and conditions.

Dr. Davis’ visit was an exciting time for CHC and the Weitzman Institute because it allowed staff and Dr. Davis to collaborate and discuss plans to expand our work and further improve our Project ECHO Pain program. During his visit, we also had the opportunity to capture video footage of Dr. Davis to give potential ECHO participants an introduction to pain management.
