Stamford CHC Participates in National Depression Screening Day
On Thursday, October 11th, health centers across the United States offered depression screenings as part of a national day dedicated to the awareness and prevention of this behavioral illness. The staff at CHC Stamford partook in the event – titled National Depression Screening Day – and produced some outstanding results.
Post-Doc Resident Amy Wicker saw all patients, medical and dental staff for consults, warm hand-offs and individual screenings. Amy engaged in 11 informational discussions with patients interested in CHC’s services and also had a positive screening result and two warm hand-offs from medical. She gave presentations during the lunches for dental and medical staff, both of which culminated in beneficial conversations for all who engaged.
Congratulations to Amy Wicker, Amy Taylor, David Guggenheim, and all of those at the Stamford site that made the day a success. Hopefully, National Depression Screening Day can take place at more CHC sites next October!
